Battery Park City is bounded on the east by West Street which separates it from it’s neighbor the Financial District. The Hudson River borders Battery park city on the west, north and south. Manhattan's iconic landmark the World Trade Center is near Battery Park City and the Statue of Liberty is within site and only a ferry ride away. Take the ferry from the World Financial Ferry Terminal over to New Jersey, or do a loop around the Statue of Liberty. The West Street pedestrian bridges, and the crosswalks across West Street, connect Battery Park City to subway stations and the PATH in the Financial District as there is currently no Subway options in this hood. Taking Highways 478 get you over to Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn and Staten Island is just a Ferry away from the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
