Technically a suburb of San Jose, Santa Clara is a rising star city in Silicon Valley. Santa Clara was named for its famed, Catholic mission, established in the 18th century. It now the home to many tech giants, including Intel. Within the city limits, you'll also find the San Francisco 49ers playing football at Levi's Stadium.
Santa Clara is intersected by highways 101 and El Camino Real. In fact, Santa Clara is the turning point where El Camino becomes Alameda and dips southeast into neighboring San Jose. Santa Clara is also connected via transportation options using Caltrain's Santa Clara Station and Amtrak's Great America Station. Mineta San Jose Airport (SJC) is conveniently located on the Santa Clara - San Jose border. Santa Clara Convention Center is located in the northern part of the city. Santa Clara is bordered by Sunnyvale to the west and Cupertino to the southwest.
