101 and 280 run on either side of South San Francisco, connecting the city of San Francisco to the rest of the peninsula and neighboring Silicon Valley. San Francisco International Airport is just south of South San Francisco. South San Francisco shares the rest of its southern border with Millbrae. South San Francisco is neighbored to the north by Daly City, Colma, and Brisbane, and doesn't actually share a border with the city of San Francisco. The city is connected by train, via both Caltrain and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) at South San Francisco Station.
