Capital One Café - Rittenhouse

Anonymous

Typical: need to remind people who just come in and settle without a reservation that these rooms are for reservations-only. Staff should make sure that a room is ready to receive a guest or group at least 5 min prior to reservation start to avoid having to engage with strangers that feel entitled to just come in.

When Capital One says they believe in community, they truly mean it. As a nonprofit leader, having access to a space where I could step away from the day-to-day, think strategically, and plan what comes next was incredibly valuable. Creating opportunities like this for community organizations makes a real difference. I'll definitely be back.

I visit Capital One Cafe pretty often but that day they had a lot going on. Though I received a call that we would be moved from the blue room downstairs (which is bigger) to the red room upstairs, when we arrived, they told us we mo longer had the reservation. All and all, we got it figured out and the staff was extremely apologetic and friendly, it was bit chaotic. I would have been totally okay with being told in advance it was too much to accommodate for that day.

The meeting room was clean and exactly what we needed for a work meeting. We arrived at 11am and was greeted by Lamar, who was so kind and offered us drinks. Then Joseph (Joe) helped me set up my mac to the screen and was very warm and helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely come back - GREAT customer service and staff. An noteworthy point we'd like to mention is that the music became exceptionally loud around 2pm for approximately 30 minutes. It seemed intentional, almost as if there was an attempt to transform the ambiance into a club setting (we were there from 11am-6pm).

Some hiccups in the initial reservation process - despite submitting my first inquiry with all needed info (about my event, the fact that I was working through a non profit, etc), the person who replied seemed not to even see that message and asked for all the same information again. That said, the room was great and the location very convenient! The people present at Capital One were also very approachable and helpful. Will definitely consider reserving again!

The space was good for what we needed. However, the ambient noise from the cafe music is one to be taken into account in the future depending on the nature of the meeting. The door to the room isn't actually door, so there was a lot of sound bleed. Despite that, we probably would book again in the future depending on our needs. We also appreciate the accommodation to book the space for more than the allotted time allowed given that it was our first booking.
