The Indianapolis City Center is in the heart of the state capital's downtown area, offering great views from the 16th floor of the South Tower of the Capital Center Building, which is connected to its sister North Tower by a three-level connecting atrium with sloped glazing. It's within walking distance of most of the many major downtown businesses and just a few blocks from the Indianapolis Capitol Building, the Indianapolis Courthouse and the Indianapolis City/County building. Once dominated by government and manufacturing, today's Indianapolis has a much more diversified economy, contributing to the fields of education, healthcare and finance. Tourism is also vital and the city plays host to numerous conventions and sporting events. The most well known is the annual Indianapolis 500 car race. As the fastest growing region in the Midwest, many of Indiana's largest and most recognized companies are headquartered here.
