The Cherry Creek Center offers fifth floor views of a high-end district and the Rocky Mountains beyond. Its central location gives it good access to the city's downtown area to the north and the business and economic trading district known as Denver Tech Center to the south. Affluent Cheery Creek contains the region's largest collection of independently owned boutiques, restaurants and galleries, but the city as a whole is home to many large corporations, partly because of its geographical position and connection to major transportation systems. Telecommunications and other hi-tech companies, the energy and mining sectors, plus defense-related industries all operate from Denver. The downtown area boasts plenty of financial business and because the Denver is Colorado's capital, city and federal government agencies are based here. A huge shopping center is across the street from the Cherry Creek Center, hotels are nearby and it is five minutes from Interstate 25.
