1. Purpose
The purpose of this Health and Safety Policy is to provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all members, guests, employees, and contractors of EaDo Spaces. This policy outlines our commitment to preventing accidents, promoting wellness, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals who enter or utilize the EaDo Spaces facility, including but not limited to:
• Workspace members
• Event hosts and attendees
• Visitors and contractors
• Employees and management staff

3. Health & Safety Commitment
EaDo Spaces is committed to:
• Maintaining a hazard-free workplace.
• Complying with all applicable OSHA standards and City of Houston building and fire safety codes.
• Promoting a culture of safety and mutual responsibility.
• Ensuring emergency procedures are clearly communicated and practiced.

4. General Safety Guidelines
All workspace users are expected to:
• Keep personal and shared areas tidy and free from obstructions.
• Report any hazards, spills, electrical issues, or unsafe conditions immediately to management.
• Use provided furniture, equipment, and facilities only for their intended purposes.
• Follow posted signage and emergency instructions.
• Avoid blocking exits, hallways, or access to fire extinguishers and emergency supplies.

5. Emergency Procedures
Fire:
• In the event of a fire alarm, exit the building immediately through the nearest marked exit.
• Do not use elevators.
• Gather at the designated assembly point outside the building until an “all clear” is given.
Medical Emergency:
• Call 911 immediately.
• Notify workspace staff for assistance.
• First aid kits are available at the front desk and in the kitchen area.
Severe Weather:
• Follow shelter-in-place or evacuation instructions issued by local authorities or management.
• Remain in interior rooms away from windows during tornado or severe storm warnings.

6. Hygiene & Health Practices
To promote wellness and prevent illness:
• Regular cleaning and sanitization are conducted daily, with high-touch surfaces disinfected frequently.
• Members are encouraged to sanitize shared equipment before and after use.
• Stay home if feeling unwell, displaying symptoms of a contagious illness, or after known exposure to a communicable disease.
• Proper hand hygiene (handwashing or sanitizer use) is encouraged throughout the day.

7. Workspace Equipment & Electrical Safety
• Only authorized personnel may modify or repair electrical, mechanical, or IT equipment.
• Do not overload power outlets or use damaged cords.
• Unplug devices when not in use for extended periods.

8. Fire Safety & Evacuation
• Fire extinguishers and alarms are inspected regularly.
• Exits are clearly marked and must remain unobstructed.
• Evacuation routes are posted throughout the facility.

• Access to EaDo Spaces is limited to registered members, employees, and approved guests.
• All members must use their designated access credentials (key cards or codes).
• Report lost or stolen access cards immediately.
• Visitors must sign in and be accompanied by a member or staff representative.

10. Reporting & Accountability
• All incidents, accidents, or injuries must be reported promptly to workspace management, regardless of severity.
• Reports can be made in person, by email, or through the member portal.
• Management will investigate all reported issues and take corrective action as necessary.

This policy is reviewed annually or when significant operational or regulatory changes occur. Updates will be communicated to all members and staff.
