Inspired by the coworking and localism movements, BEAHIVE is a pioneering space for work and community and possibilities — the first and only of our kind in the Hudson Valley, one of only a handful in all of NY, and one of probably only a few hundred in the world when we opened.
As pioneers in the coworking movement we’ve leveraged our years of experience to create a warm, comfortable, inviting, productive place to work, meet, collaborate and socialize.
Our main coworking space is a wide-open, first-floor loft with exposed brick walls, maple floor, soaring ceiling, and nine large windows facing south, east and west. There’s a mix of communal desks and tables, and lounge areas with a sofa and armchairs. It also functions as an event and meeting space.
When the sun is shining it floods the space with natural light (which, studies show — surprise! — improves productivity, sleep and vitality). And all that light feeds a whole bunch of plants sprinkled throughout (because — surprise! — plants are good for you, too).
Upstairs we have a handful of private offices (which we call resident studios), a couple resident desks, a full kitchen, and a light-filled meeting room — with more plants! — available to both members and non-members.
