1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all members, guests, and staff at Hawaii Coworking. This policy outlines our commitment to maintaining health and safety standards and the responsibilities of all individuals to contribute to a safe workspace.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all members, guests, staff, and visitors of Hawaii Coworking.
3. Responsibilities
3.1 Management:
Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
Provide health and safety training to staff and members as needed.
Maintain and update emergency procedures.
Ensure that all equipment and facilities are safe and well-maintained.
3.2 Members and Guests:
Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Report any spoiled food or unsafe conditions of kitchenette machinery or equipment to management immediately.
Participate in any health and safety training provided.
Use equipment and facilities safely and responsibly.
3.3 Staff:
Report any incidents or hazards to management.
Assist in emergency situations as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the coworking space.
4. General Safety Guidelines
Keep all walkways and exits clear of obstructions.
Practice good hygiene, including regular handwashing.
Dispose of waste properly and recycle where possible.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management immediately.
5. Emergency Procedures
5.1 Fire Safety:
Familiarize yourself with the location of fire exits and fire extinguishers.
In case of fire, evacuate the building immediately and proceed to the designated assembly point.
Do not use elevators during a fire evacuation.
5.2 Medical Emergencies:
In case of a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.
Provide first aid if trained and able to do so.
Report the incident to management as soon as possible.
5.3 Natural Disasters:
Follow any specific instructions provided by management or local authorities.
Move to designated safe areas within the building if necessary.
6. COVID-19 Specific Guidelines
Practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet of distance from others.
Wear face masks in common areas.
Regularly sanitize your workspace and shared equipment.
Stay home if you are feeling unwell or have been exposed to COVID-19.
7. Reporting and Investigating Incidents
All accidents, injuries, or near-miss incidents must be reported to management immediately.
Management will investigate all incidents and take appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
8. Review and Updates
This policy will be reviewed and updated annually or as required to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
