1. General Safety: The Inca Collective is a shared community building. Please remain aware of your surroundings and keep personal belongings secure. Emergency contacts are listed at the front of this document; please save them before your event begins. Children must be supervised at all times. Running, unsafe movement, or horseplay is not permitted inside the studio or hallways.
2. Emergency ProceduresEmergency Contacts: Primary: Phoenix — 413-464-6161 Secondary: Shelby — 303-249-3635. Emergency Equipment Basic first-aid supplies are located in the kitchen area. Fire extinguishers can be found in the main hall near the kitchen. In Case of Emergency Call 911 immediately for any medical, fire, or life-threatening situation. Evacuate the building through the main entrance. Do not use space heaters or electrical equipment if you suspect an electrical issue.
3. Fire Safety: Do not light candles, incense, sage, or any open flame unless you have written permission. Space heaters must never be left unattended and must be unplugged before leaving. Do not cover or block vents, exits, or pathways. Keep walkways clear of bags, blankets, yoga mats, or other items that may cause tripping.
4. Electrical & AV Equipment Safety: Only plug equipment into standard outlets—no daisy-chaining or overloading power strips. Turn all electronics OFF after the event (speakers, projector, amps, lights, heaters). Ensure all cords and cables are taped down or placed where people will not trip over them. Do not move or lift AV equipment that you are not familiar with.
5. Heating, Cooling & Air Quality: The thermostat may be adjusted as needed. At the end of your rental: Winter: Set to 68° Summer: Set to 72° Swamp cooler may drip on very hot days; paper towels are provided for safety to prevent slips. Keep hydration stations and beverage containers with lids to prevent spills.
6. Cleanliness & Sanitation All guests must maintain reasonable hygiene and cleanliness. Wipe up spills immediately to prevent slip hazards. Cleaning supplies are available in:The kitchen closet. The hallway supply closet. All trash must be disposed of in the kitchen trash can, and if full, emptied into the outside dumpster (code 1177). Remove all food items from the fridge and clean any dishes used.
7. Physical Safety During Events Ensure all movement-based activities (yoga, dance, breathwork, somatics) are guided responsibly. Facilitators are responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of their participants. Offer modifications for physical limitations when applicable. Make sure guests do not block emergency exits with mats, chairs, or equipment.
8. Accessibility: The main entrance and restrooms are accessible for most guests. If your event requires accessibility accommodations, please notify us in advance so we can support proper setup.
9. Restroom & Facility Care: Two restrooms are available for public use. If supplies run low, you may restock from the hallway supply closet. Please report any plumbing issues immediately.
10. Parking Lot & Outdoor Safety
The dumpster is located outside and to the left of the building (code 1177). Use caution when walking in the lot at night; the area is lit but always stay aware. Do not leave valuables in your car.
11. COVID-19 & Communicable Illness Practices. Anyone feeling sick should not attend events. Hand sanitizer and soap are available in the kitchen and restrooms. Hosts may choose to offer additional cleaning before/after their event if needed.
12. Liability Note: All renters assume responsibility for the safety and behavior of their guests. The Inca Collective is not liable for injuries, lost items, or accidents that occur due to unsafe conduct or negligence on the part of the renter.
