Our space is ideal for holding a private client meeting; hosting a virtual meeting/conference call; hosting a demonstration or pop-up shop event; or used simply as a local home-base while you’re away from your usual office. We encourage our members to get to know one another, collaborate on projects, and even do business together when it seems to be the right fit. We are conveniently located in downtown Brighton. We are within blocks of all the wonderful things our downtown has to offer such as the Millpond, Imagination Station, and many of our great shops and restaurants. This furnished office space is perfect for someone that needs 24/7 office availability for a set number of weeks or months. We will provide a desk, bookshelf, file cabinet & additional meeting table for your convenience. This membership will also include other amenities available at Grit & Lavender. Conference Room #1 - Small
Our small conference room rentals include an 50" Digital Smart Boards (including Internet Access & Browser, Audio/Video, USB & HDMI Connections). This room also includes a 4ft x 8ft Glass whiteboard, large picture window and two sideboard cabinets to place materials, beverages or catered food. We have reduced the capacity to 6 people due to COVID-19.
Conference Room #2
Our large conference room rentals include an 80" Digital Smart Boards, including a digital whiteboard, Internet Access & Browser, Audio/Video, USB & HDMI Connections). We have reduced the capacity to 6 people due to COVID-19.
Wellness Room
Our most flexible room! Our wellness room is typically used by our hands-on professionals, such as a massage therapist, seamstress, therapy sessions & traditional meeting space. We have a portable desk that we can place in the room if you need it for a conference call or meeting. Otherwise, bring your own equipment and use the in a way that best fits your needs.
Serenity Room
This is another Flexible Room that does not have a desk. This space is ideal for therapy sessions, consultations, energy work, or other personal or professional services that do not typically need a formal desk. Please let us know how you plan to use the space and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Kitchenette Event Space
Host a class or small event, dinner with friend, or social gathering in our kitchenette space. This space can be rented after typical business hours upon request.
Coworking Day Pass
Pick a spot at one of our open desks, grab a coffee & get some work done. Due to COVID-19 only every other desk will be available & you will be required to wear a mask at all times including while seated in our public areas (unless actively eating or drinking).

We offer a wide selection of Wolfgang Puck Coffee Pods (100% compostable) including Decaf & Espresso. We also have a variety of black, herbal, & green teas. A carafe of Michigan Roasted coffee is available upon request.

We have a reception area that is not always staffed. Please let us know if you will be expecting a client & would like to have someone at the reception desk to greet them, offer them coffee/water/tea, get them situation & notify you of their arrival.

We offer a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, toaster, hot water, tea & coffee to our guest. Please help yourself, but be mindful if something looks like it may belong to a member. When in doubt, just ask us, we're happy to help.

Please let us know in advance if you will need a notary for your meeting. Notary Fees are $8 per notarized page to be bill separately from your rental. Advanced Notice is Required to ensure Notary is on-site.

Pet Friendly
We always welcome service animals in our space. If you would like to bring your non-service animal, please let us know a head of time. Your animal must not disturb (barking or otherwise) any members of the space. Cleaning fees may apply for accidents
Print/Scan/Copy
Please bring a flash drive to avoid installing the print driver. We know sometime you just need a few pages printed from a recent change just before a meeting. We will include up to 10 B&W pages with your rental, then .10/B&W & .25/Color copies

Health and Safety Policy

To our valued members and guests:

Your health and safety is our top priority. Therefore as we follow the quickly developing environment around Coronavirus (COVID-19) we are implementing new policies to help us prevent the spread of the virus and limit the impact on our community. Thank you for reading this and supporting our efforts!  

Following recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) we are implementing the following enhanced health and safety policies. 


Cleaning

We are implementing enhanced cleaning procedures in our locations to protect our employees, members and guests. These include; 

Cleaning shared surfaces regularly with disinfectant. 

Providing hand sanitizer and anti-bacterial wipes. 

Asking our members and guests to help sanitize common surfaces that you have used. 

 

Hygiene

Please follow these important guidelines about hygiene:

Wash your hands frequently and properly. A guide can be found here: www.who.int/gpsc/clean_hands_protection

Use your arm or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, not your hands, and use hand sanitizer regularly. Wash your hands. (It’s a theme.)

Please dispose of tissues immediately and wash hands or use sanitizer any time you have used tissues. (There’s that hand-washing again!)

Refrain from touching your nose or mouth. If you do, please wash your hands afterwards. (In case you forgot.)

 

Kitchen

We will be limiting shared kitchen services including coffee, refreshment and snack service as well as limiting the use of reusable utensils and drinkware during this time. Single use items may still be served as available in the kitchen but we apologize for any inconvenience this limited service may have. 

 

If You Are Sick

For the safety of our coworkers and community, we are asking members who are displaying even mild flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough and cold to stay home. Please! Not only is this common courtesy, it will help you recover more quickly and keep your immune system strong. 

Please notify our staff if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have used our space in the past 30 days. 

 

If You Have Traveled

For our employees, members and guests. If you have recently traveled to high-risk areas (China, Italy and other areas as updated by the CDC), they are being asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, even if they show no symptoms, to monitor for any symptoms of illness. This may be extended to those who have traveled to other areas where COVID-19 is spreading. 

If you have recently traveled internationally or may have been exposed to people traveling from affected areas, please monitor yourself. 

If you are showing any symptoms of illness we ask you to check with your healthcare provider. Please do not plan to return to work until you’ve been cleared and are no longer sick.

Social distancing

We are strongly encouraging members and guests to avoid congregating in our common spaces and will try to accommodate any members or guests who ask to work or meet in isolation.

Closures

Finally, we have policies in place and will communicate further to implement closures and further cleaning protocols if we are notified that any person that has used our space recently is diagnosed with COVID-19.
