The Moby is our largest meeting room; with large south facing windows and hardwood floors. The room is equipped with movable tables and chairs that you can configure as needed. There is also a flatscreen TV with hdmi, and a large portable whiteboard.

Groundwork is housed in a bright and sunny historic mill building in downtown New Bedford. The exposed brick, wooden floors, and large windows create a welcoming feel in our space. Our art gallery showcases a rotating display of local artists. We are located at a bus stop at the corner of Purchase and Maxfield Streets, just north of downtown. We offer bottomless coffee from Coastal Roasters, Numi tea, water and snacks to all guests. Coffee and beverage service is available for meeting room guests. We are just a short walk from downtown coffee shops, cafes, and shops.
Dedicated Desk
This dedicated desk is located in our bright and airy main space. Includes your own key for 24/7 access to the building and a locking file cabinet. Your Dedicated Desk also includes 20 hours a month in meeting rooms.
Open Desk
Our open desks are located in a quiet, sunny corner of the main coworking space. Open desks include unlimited access during business hours, 10 hours per month in meeting rooms, and bottomless coffee, tea, and snacks,
Flex Desk
Set up your home base for the day in one of our spacious flex seating areas. Your day pass includes WiFi access as well as bottomless coffee, tea, water, and snacks. Printing and private meeting rooms are available at an additional charge.
Light and airy boardroom
The Shuttle is a bright, airy board room with plenty of natural light, and all the technology you need for a meeting, conference call, or webinar. Meeting room reservations include access to our bottomless coffee, tea, and water.
New
Zoom Room
This is a small room equipped for Zoom calls and webinars. The room is set up with sound paneling, an optional pull-down green screen, photography lights, and a webcam.

What changes have been made to the space?

All desks have been arranged to allow a minimum of 6 ft of distance between each person. Dedicated desks are now arranged in pods of 2 with a privacy screen separating them.

 

Sanitizing stations are located in the following areas:

Signage through the space will reinforce the following guidelines.

 

Staff protocol:

Staff will sanitize high touch areas 2x per day: at opening and closing. These include:

Doorknobs on the Maxfield street entrance, main space entrance, and all conference rooms. 

Kitchen - refrigerator handles, counter, faucet, coffee station, creamer, microwave

Printer keypad

Staff will sanitize meeting rooms and associated meeting items (markers, remote controls, etc.) between each use

Staff will maintain a daily cleaning log as well as a daily attendance log

Staff will enforce an occupancy limit of 14 people/day

 

Member behavior protocol:

Masks are optional for fully vaccinated members and guests.

Do not come to Groundwork if you are experiencing any of the known COVID symptoms. We may send you home if you are demonstrating symptoms of any kind.

Fever

Chills

Muscle pain

Sore throat

New loss of taste or smell

 

If you become a positive or probable COVID case and you have been at Groundwork recently, report to Sarah immediately. Your privacy will be respected.

 

 

Meeting rooms & guest policy:

Guests are not allowed to work in the main space until further notice.

Please meet your guests at the door and escort them to a meeting room. 

 

 

COVID RESPONSE PLAN:

If you test positive or are determined to be a “probable positive” for COVID, notify us immediately. Your identity will not be revealed.

We will notify any members who were in the space at the same time as the positive member. 

 

We will also notify DPH of the positive case and the names of all contacts. DPH will provide them with further guidelines and information. 

 

The physical space will be closed for a deep clean.

 

MISCELLANEOUS: 

As our staff will follow strict guidelines, it is possible we may need to close should our staff experience symptoms.

 

After-hours and weekend access will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please speak with us to request access.
