This beautiful, modern, comfortable creative workspace is great for a variety of needs. Business meetings, casual meetings, brainstorming sessions, project showcasing, video editing, graphic designing, music producing, writing, architecture planning, singing, hanging out, taking a nap, whatever you wish! Studio 5 is very comfortable. Working long hours here is a pleasure. It's my home away from home. I use it primarily for music production, editing and writing. The space is industrial, with concrete floors, unfinished wood doors and exposed beams on the ceiling- but it feels cozy and warm, with a huge window that gives the space ample light all day, and custom lighting that's perfect for night. The room is roughly 850sqft, with tall ceilings ranging from 12 to 15 feet. -I have a large custom mid century modern tanker desk, with two desk chairs, which provides ample room for two people to work simultaneously, if you need to use my audio-visual setup. There is also a comfortable leather couch behind the mix position, perfect for your clients to sit and view your project, for you to relax while your partner works, or to have a little cat nap. There is also another lounge chair behind the desk, great for reading or editing on a laptop while others work. The space has a water cooler, tea kettle and a mini fridge, so feel free to bring beverages, snacks or lunch. Studio 5 is the only space in the building that has it's own private bathroom, but there are also two communal bathrooms just outside the door in the hall. It's is also the only unit with access to a large private patio (the picture only shows one corner) so you can give your eyes and ears a rest, get a little sun, have a smoke or do some calisthenics. (Patio furniture will be coming in the future) Studio 5 only shares one wall, and I had that wall built out with two layers of spacers, soundboard & drywall, so you have to really try hard to bother anyone. On that note, the building is full of other cool creatives. -The building is in an excellent location, on the border or LA and Culver City, close to the 10fwy and even closer to the Expo line train. The neighborhood is industrial, but unlike most industrial neighborhoods in LA, it is charming and well kept. Just a short walk down Jefferson is the Baldwin Hills stairs, scenic overlook and Culver City park. Downtown Culver is a very short drive and full of great restaurants. The building has a parking lot that is first come first serve, and there is also tons of free street parking nearby. The building has secure 24 hour access, which is great if you are a creative night owl. -If you work in music production, video production, editing or graphic design, and have a Macbook Pro, you can very simply plug into my system and enjoy the 27" Apple Cinema Display, Apogee sound card and Event SP8 near field monitors. If you need a space for drawing, sketching, architecture planning, or anything of that nature, I can arrange to move all the equipment off the desk. Come brainstorm, write, sing or play in peace, in a lovely, relaxed, creatively inspiring space.
