The office is comprised of Global Exchange -a non-profit human rights organization, together with 2 other non-profits, start ups and various individuals working in world tourism, film, arts and computer technology.
Our office space is conveniently located in the center of the Mission, across the 16th & Mission BART station, very convenient to MUNI transportation bus stops. The Mission is a diverse cultural neighborhood with delicious restaurants and coffee shops, parks, eclectic shops and markets.
A typical day in the office is varied - generally we're productive, focused and stay on point. There are meetings in offices and some in the common spaces. Each team keeps their own hours, so you'll find people working from the morning into the late evening. Everyone has 24/7 access to the office, Wifi is fast and very reliable, Kitchen furnished with 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, filtered drinking water, and some small kitchen appliances and tablewares. Conference Room (must schedule to reserve) is furnished with big screen flat TV, DVD players, Large whiteboard mounted on the wall, movable whiteboard with stand, and an overhead retractable projector screen. Bikes are welcome. There are several metered parking along the streets, parking lots near by and a vallet parking a block away from our building. An ideal office mate would be individual, or groups/teams with progressive values, and understanding of non profit work, and/or an appreciations for the creative arts. Respect each others' needs in the office, practice safety and security, clean up after yourself, and be willing to cooperate, chip-in and share in the monthly expenses, billed separately, to keep the space functioning well. Term is on a month to month basis.
